Cargo is looking to expand our Brand Partnerships & Merchandising team to help support 10x growth in 2018. In this role you will help develop and launch a curated in-car retail experience for millions of rideshare passengers. You will define and source Cargo’s merchandising mix and continuously optimize our portfolio of products across markets to meet growth targets. This role will report into the Head of Brand Partnerships and Merchandising, working closely with Merchandising Operations. You will also build and manage a growing team of Merchandising Associates as the team grows.


  • Drive Consumer Engagement: Bring to life Cargo’s retail vision to meet the needs of rideshare passengers. Deep dive into defining and understanding our consumer (riders) and deliver a mix of products that will resonate with passengers. Lead Consumer Insights research projects for continuous learning. Analyze internal and external data sources to determine industry and consumer trends and recommend new products that are relevant and timely to drive in car engagement.
  • Grow Retail Revenue:Monitor performance of Cargo’s product mixes with detailed analysis of assortment mix, shelf placement, digital menu placement, pricing, and brand/product selection. Determine impact of external factors such as weather, seasonality, rideshare peaks, driver cohorts, etc. and recommend optimal mix of retail SKUs. Make data driven recommendations to optimize Cargo’s product portfolio and buy decisions to increase retail engagement and retail revenue, while balancing it with sampling programs.
  • Optimize for Consumer Experience:Collaborate with Merchandising Operations Manager to align on roll out strategy for new products and mixes across the distribution matrix. Determine product decisions based on performance and company financial targets. Align promotional offers in car with national campaigns when feasible.


  • 5+ Years analytics experience in Retail/CPG/Beauty industry

  • Strong analytical skillset, including experience with data analytics and driven decision making (IRI/Nielsen experience preferred)

  • Strong consumer marketing and business acumen required

  • Strong, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Consumer research experience a bonus
